Tapirs are a herviborous animals, they are mammal and walk on four legs, them size is around two meters long, and about a meter high on average. We can find them on sylvan areas from South America, and Asia. They are similar in shape to pigs, and have a short nose trunk. They are in a great extinction danger because of the deforestation produced by the big monoculture industries, and more lately, by the big fire that ocurred on the big Amazona forest.
One very interesting specie of tapyr, in my opinion, are the "Tapirus terrestris", they live on Brazil, and they are very important for the ecosistem, because they eat some types of fruits wich has them seeds inside, so they digest them with a very flexible and complex digestive system, and then, when the fruits makes his way outside from tapirs, they become very efficient seedbeds. Bacause of this
very wonderful skill they contribute to mantain alive the big Amazona Forest. So if you ever have the opportunity to contemplate a beautiful tapir, I invite you to send him or her all your love, and to feel grateful for them existence.
Many animals are important for their ecosystems in this way, and when they become extinct it¿s a big catastrophy for the entire system. I hope we don't lose them...
