Carl Gustav Jung
He is one of the most inflluential character on the history of Psychology, he was disciple from Freud, this last teach to Jung several things, they work together on perfecting the pshychoanalysis, they used to be very close, until Jung suggest the idea of exploring other áreas from the mind, and the phenomenons related to an spiritual dimension from the human being. This idea didn't excited Freud too much, he rejected actually, and finally they broke his relationship. Following his idea of explore this unknown fields on pshycgology he made some very interesting discovers that were translated into theories and concepts, that will inspire to the formulation of particular paradigms on pshychology.
Two of his biggest contribution were:
1. The incorporation of new theories from the dreams, in wich introduce terms like the collective subconscious, wich explained many phenomenals, from the imagination, and the dreams. In short terms, this concept refers to an specie of collective memory wich remains from generation to generation, and wich had his origins on our ancesters.

2. Following the formulation of the collective subconscious, he introduced on psychology the concept of archetype wich reffers to symbolic models wich were characterisitc from this dimension from the subconscious, the peculiar of this models were that they appear through the history in different ways but remaining the same meaning, or at least a similar meaning. Between them we can name to the archetype of the ánima, the hero archetype, the wise archetype, and one of the most important ones. the shadow archetype.

On our days he is an essential author to some humanists school of though, because of his dreams theory and because of the incorporation of an trascendental dimension from the human being.
I first found this author by music band wich uses many of his concepts, particulary the ones wich reffers to this metaphysic dimension from the human being, i didn't know that at the beginning, but in a research for trying to understand the lyrics of his songs I find this particular author, that later i would know, was a very important character to the career that I'll study.

  2. Oh! I have partially reviewed the work of Jung in my first year, in a subject on Social Psychology ... he really is a very interesting person and I think I has seen a parody (?) In the film a dangerous method, right?
